The new Cobble Hill Events Society is bringing two new events to Cobble Hill Village. Both a Sunday Farmers Market and a Thursday night Music in the Park have already started this past week.
The Cobble Hill Events Society is going full speed ahead. The society has received a grant from the regional director to fund the Music in the Park event. While the event is free, they will be putting out a donation box hoping people will add a little something to keep this summer event going and get people in the village mingling. So bring your chairs to the village park opposite the Cobble Hill Fairgrounds and enjoy a weekly outdoor concert, from 6 – 8 pm. Of course everyone is welcome, not just Cobble Hillers!
The Sunday Farmers Market will run from 10 am – 1 pm and organizers are hoping to attract the boutique farms in the South Cowichan area. With the big Duncan Farmers Market on Saturday, this will give merchants another opportunity to sell their products, in the south end this time. Combined with the Farmers Market there will be Sunday afternoon family events such as cardboard building contests, a carnival day and a water sports day, which will run from 1 – 3 pm.
It all sounds like a great time is to be had in Cobble Hill village, so do come and check it out this summer! Check out their Facebook page for more information!
